Submitting More Claims
Does Not Mean
Collecting More.
Better collections come from experienced people, stronger technology and disciplined follow-up at every stage of the revenue cycle — which is how Atlas turns more of your work into collected revenue.
Certified Coders Who Understand the Clinical Record
Our coders read the chart, not just the charge ticket. E/M levels, modifiers, documentation, accepted body parts and authorization are validated before they become denials.
Advanced Claim Scrubbing Before Submission
Every claim clears clinical, coding, payer and jurisdiction-specific validation. Missing information, bad codes, authorization gaps and pricing errors get caught before the payer sees them.
Premium Claims-Processing Technology
One connected platform for payer workflows, claim status, remittances, underpayments and deadlines. No scattered spreadsheets, no disconnected work queues.
Intelligent Collection Workflows
Accounts are prioritized by balance, age, payer behavior, filing deadlines and likelihood of recovery, so the team works what pays now.
Automated Denial and Appeal Management
Denials are categorized and routed the day they arrive. Deadlines, documentation and follow-up dates track automatically; people handle the judgment calls.
Real-Time Revenue and KPI Reporting
Live collections, net collection rate, days in A/R, denials and recovery — by location, provider, payer, state and service line.
Technology Finds the Opportunity. Experienced People Recover the Revenue.
Atlas combines automation, analytics, certified coding expertise and persistent collection work to protect revenue from the chart to the final payment.
Occupational Medicine
Is Not Commercial Billing.
Work Comp has more moving parts and more ways for revenue to get lost. One claim can involve an employer, carrier, TPA, examiner, bill review, authorization, accepted body parts, state pricing and filing deadlines. Miss one and payment is delayed, reduced or lost.
Employer Services are billed direct under negotiated rates. Those balances have to be collected without damaging a relationship your clinic depends on — which takes aggressive Work Comp follow-up and a different touch on the employer side.
Work Comp Expertise
State fee schedules, authorization, accepted injuries, carrier and TPA routing, bill-review reductions, deadlines and appeals. Managed by the rules that decide whether a claim gets paid.
Employer Relationship Management
Before we escalate a balance we look at the contract, payment history, contacts and what the account is worth to you. Follow-up is professional and account-specific.
Collections With Judgment
Automation finds the aging balances. Experienced people decide how each one is handled.
- Work Comp claims get deadline-driven follow-up
- Underpayments and denials move straight to appeal
- Employer invoices get relationship-aware outreach, with an agreed escalation path
We Protect More Than the Receivable.
Atlas collects every appropriate dollar while protecting the employer relationships, referral patterns and service agreements that build long-term value.
Don't step over dimes
to pick up nickels.
There is always someone who will quote you a point or two under your current rate, usually an offshore shop where the work is cheap because it is done at volume and never worked. Claims get submitted. They do not get priced to the schedule, chased through bill review, or appealed before the window closes.
The saving lands on one invoice a month, where you can see it. The cost lands in underpayments nobody caught and balances that quietly aged out, where you cannot.
Say you bill $2M of work comp a year. Two points off your billing fee saves you about $40,000. Five points off your collection rate costs you $100,000. You can win the negotiation and still lose the year.
Know Exactly Where
Your Revenue Stands.
Every Day.
See collections, outstanding A/R, denials, underpayments, appeals and recovered revenue across every location, provider, payer, state and service line.
No waiting until month-end. No outdated spreadsheets. No reports that leave you wondering what happened. When collections slow, denials increase or a payer falls behind, you see it immediately — along with what Atlas is doing to correct it.

Every Claim Is Protected
at Five Critical Points.
A clean claim is not enough. We protect the revenue from documentation through final payment.
Document
Chart review against the injury, the accepted body part and the authorization — before a code is ever assigned.
Code
Assign defensible E/M levels, procedures, modifiers and the reporting a carrier expects.
Price
Apply the correct fee schedule, contract or employer rate for the date of service.
Route
Carrier, TPA, employer or bill review — matched to how comp actually moves in that jurisdiction, with the right attachments.
Recover
Compare payment with expected allowable, then appeal or follow up before the deadline expires.
Live as Fast as 15 Days.
We audit your claims, connect to your system, and go live on new claims in as little as fifteen days while a second team works your legacy A/R.
The Audit
You send a representative sample of claims. We price and trace them, then put the recoverable opportunity in writing.
Connect and Calibrate
System access, payer and clearinghouse enrollments, fee schedules loaded per location. An escalation path is agreed with your office leads.
Live on New, Working on Old
New claims move through all five checkpoints. A parallel team works the legacy A/R we flagged in the audit.
A Named Team
We meet weekly through the first month, then twice a month. Collection rate, denials and recovery by location, and what we are changing next.
We Ran the Clinics
Before We Billed Them.
Atlas was built by operators with sixteen years running Occupational Medicine and Urgent Care clinics in Southern California, not by a general billing company that later added a Work Comp service line. Denials begin at check-in. Authorization decisions affect clinical care. Employer accounts require service. Payroll does not wait for slow collections.
We help fix the operational causes of lost revenue, not just resubmit the claim after the damage is done.
Most Asked Questions.
We're an Urgent Care — comp is maybe 10% of our visits. Is that enough to bother with?
That's exactly the book we see leak hardest. A small comp share never gets its own owner, so those claims default down the commercial rail and the denials pile up in a bucket nobody is measured on. Ten percent of visits at a poor collection rate is usually a six-figure number once you look. The audit will tell you whether it is in your case.
Which practice management systems do you work in?
We bill out of the system you already run. No migration, no data conversion, nothing new for your staff to learn. If you don't have a platform yet, or yours is genuinely part of the problem, we'll recommend our preferred strategic partner and help you stand it up — but that is your call, not a condition of working with us.
Another company quoted us a lower rate. Why wouldn't we take it?
You might, and we will tell you if the quote is fair. But a billing fee is a percentage of what gets collected, so a cheaper vendor that collects less costs you more. Two points off the fee on a $2M book is roughly $40,000. Five points off the collection rate on the same book is $100,000. Ask any vendor you are considering — including us — to show you net collection rate and appeal volume, not just their rate.
How are you paid?
We are paid as a percentage of what we actually collect, plus a nominal monthly minimum. The percentage means we only do well when your deposits do. The minimum covers the fixed work of keeping your enrollments, fee schedules and payer setups current whether or not it is a busy month. Legacy A/R recovery is quoted separately, because it is a different kind of work.
What do you need for the audit, and what does it cost?
Up to 20 work comp claims and up to 20 Urgent Care claims, plus the states and locations you bill from. They should be initial visits, because that is where the coding, the fee schedule and the routing all get set — and send us the complicated ones. A clean, simple office visit tells us very little. A messy claim shows us exactly where your dollars are stopping.
Include what was billed on each one, and wherever possible send claims that have already been paid. The payment is what lets us calculate the loss — without it we can only tell you whether the claim was priced correctly, but with it we can show you the dollar difference between what you were paid and what the schedule actually owed you. No cost, no obligation, and you get written findings with a recoverable dollar estimate, typically within five business days.
Who owns the data and the payer relationships?
You do, start to finish. Claims are submitted under your NPI and tax ID, payments go to your accounts, and every record stays in your system. If we part ways, nothing has to be untangled.
Is old A/R actually worth working?
Often, yes — but not all of it. Comp balances that look dead frequently turn out to be underpayments never appealed or claims sent to the wrong carrier. We prioritize by what's recoverable inside the remaining statutory window and tell you plainly which buckets to stop paying attention to.
How do you handle patient information?
Under a signed business associate agreement, with role-based access, audit logging and staff trained on work comp privacy rules — which differ from general healthcare in what an employer may and may not receive.
